frequently asked questions

What should I expect with my first session?

Your first session will include a brief intake process where we will discuss your health history, goals, concerns, and main areas of focus.

How often should I receive bodywork?

Frequency is different for everybody - it depends on goals, symptoms, lifestyle, and especially your body’s endurance. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others benefit from spacing their sessions out.

What makes your approach different from a traditional spa setting?

My sessions focus on supporting your body’s natural healing process through therapeutic touch, pain relief, nervous system regulation, and personalized care beyond basic relaxation.

Do I need to be in pain to benefit from treatment?

Not at all - pain is not limited to being physical. Many clients seek treatment for stress management, nervous system support, enhancing mobility, injury prevention, and overall wellness.

What should I wear during my session?

I highly recommend showing up to session in comfortable clothing. Depending on the modality of choice, you may remain fully clothed or undressed to your comfort level while remained properly draped throughout your session.

What is your draping policy?

I strictly follow a modest draping policy. All sensitive areas will be covered by a sheet at all times. Any sexual conduct or solicitation will result in immediate termination of the session with no refund.

What if I feel uncomfortable during treatment?

Your comfort and consent is highly valued. I encourage you to communicate with me at any time regarding pressure, positioning, temperature, or any other concerns that present themselves.

Can I still book a session if I have a medical condition?

Many conditions can safely benefit from treatment, but some may require modifications depending on their contraindication(s). Please discuss any diagnoses, injuries, surgeries, procedures, medications, or any other health concerns during your initial intake.

Should I still come to session if I am sick?

For the safety of you, myself, and my other clients, please refrain from getting treatment. If you are experiencing fever, contagious illness, vomiting, or other acute symptoms, we will reschedule your appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments that are canceled day of session may be subject to a cancellation fee. “No call, no show” will result in paying full cost of scheduled session. I understand that unexpected situations can arise, so please reach out as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Open communication is appreciated and helps me accommodate both you and other clients.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I don’t take insurance. However, I could provide receipts upon request if your health plan offers reimbursement for massage therapy.

How do in-home sessions work?

How much space is required?

A clear area large enough to fit a massage table as well as space for me to move around comfortably throughout the session is greatly appreciated.
